AAAArrrrgh!

My third son is obsessed with all things pirates.... his beta fish is named Captain Jack Sparrow.  So he decided that he wanted a pirate party (again) and I told him he should pick another theme.  So he decided on a LEGO pirate party.  Way to shake it up son.  He told me that he wanted ocean on the bottom tier and just clouds and seagulls on the top layer with Jack's face on the very top.  I thought I could do a little bit better than that description and this is what I came up with.

My Little Ladybug

Awwww.... my little lady turned one and so she needed a ladybug cake.  When you have 5 older brothers you just have to give in to the fact that Mommy is going to do somthing girly.  Notice that the ladybug has her own little pink bow!  SQUEEEEEL!!

Mario Cake anyone?

This one was for my wonderful 7 year old, he loves Mario but I have to say that it threw me back in time while I was making it I had flashbacks of playing Mario 3 with my little brother!  I love this cake because of the memories it gave me.

Safari Birthday Cake

Owl baby shower cake

This baby is going to have an owl nursery so why not have an owl baby shower cake?  When my son saw the heart he said "Awwww it looks like that mommy owl and the baby owl LOVE each other!"

Spiderman

This is a little Spiderman cake that I made for my friend's nephew.  You can't see him very well but I really love the Spiderman on the top, I think he is really cute.

Noelle

This is a simple white on white cake that I made for one of my good friend's younger sister on her wedding day.  They were serving sheet cake and wanted a simple two tiered cake to cut.  I love how elegant white on white looks and I had to much fun making this cake.  Thanks Noelle for letting me be part of your special day!

Polka dot birthday cake

Aren't these such fun colors?  I love the polka dots and the stripes with the flowers.  This was a birthday cake for a surprise party.  It reminds me of a fun scrapbook page and makes me happy looking at these fun, bright colors!

Trevor and Nicole

This cute bride wanted a 2 tiered zebra cake with purple flowers.  This was so stinkin cute!  I had fun with this one.  Kinda makes me want to do other animal print cakes...anyone want a giraffe cake?

Chelsey and Seth

Seth and Chelsey had such a beautiful wedding, I loved the colors and I love how this cake turned out.  I think it is my favorite.  I also think that I say that about all of my cakes once I finish them but right now this one is my favorite.  MInd you it took forever because I hadn't played with my Cricut Cake before this (silly me) and it was a little bit tricky because she wanted the fancy swirls and the fondant kept on tearing in the machine because it was too soft.  I spent probably triple the amount of time than I planned on this taking because I wasn't familiar with the machine.  Otherwise it was pretty easy, just covering my three cakes with fondant, stacking them and adding ribbon.  The flowers were waiting for me at the reception and I just had to arrange them once I got there.

They had Leatherby's cater their reception, which means an ice cream sunday bar... this little guy is also my favorite (he was the only one there with me but oh is so just so cute)!

Harmoni's Baby Shower Cake

This one was so much fun for me, I got other pictures but they were turned and I didn't want you to have to turn your head sideways to look at them.  This was for my good friend's younger sister.  She is having her first baby and it is a baby girl (Luck-yyy).  She let me choose and so since I know that she is doing the nursery in pink purple and blue.... viola!

Kaylee's first birthday

I have an obsession with polka dots.  I also love stripes, I was doing a wedding cake and I squeezed this one in because it was for my cute little niece's first birthday.  Love her!

Matt and Sayward Wedding

This cake was for Steve's cousin Matt and his beautiful bride Sayward.  They were just wanting something simple and only one layer.  I talked them into two layers and I am so glad that I did because I love the flowers flowing down the side.  Here is another view...

Baby boy baby shower

A fabulous woman on my Lia Sophia team is having a baby boy after trying to get pregnant for many years. There was a big baby shower thrown and I had the honor of being asked to make the cake. They let me choose what to do. I wanted it to look a little bit childlike which is why I did uneven strips and the polka dots. I really like how it turned out.
